Francis Bacon on Optimism
"My impulse is my life, my impulse is that I am an old man, but I am profoundly optimistic about nothing."
How can you be optimistic about nothing Francis?
"I can be. Just existing. For a moment. Just existing today makes me optimistic."
Optimistic about what?
"Nothing. I am optimistic about nothing. I am just born with that optimistic nature, I'm just optimistic about nothing."

it seems you are Bacons fan. so am I.
I really appreciate your work - it's art, and art is dear to me. maybe you will compose a pice tribute to Francis someday? - like Morton Feldman did to Rothko?
full of respect
